I used to think that at a certain age I would have perfect skin. I was waiting for that in-between period when I was old enough to have outgrown acne and young enough to not have wrinkles. That day never came. As I passed from my 20’s into my 30’s I still had hormonal acne that would come and go along my jaw line. The wrinkles were starting to appear around eyes and on my forehead. I have always found that the facial cleansers that left me feeling truly clean, helping the acne, often contained lots of chemicals and had a drying effect on the rest of my skin. That is when I discovered African Black Soap.
African Black Soap is traditionally made in West Africa. It is hand-crafted with secret recipes passed from generation to generation containing the ash from locally harvested plantains, palm and/or cocoa pods. African Black Soap has been used to treat many skin conditions because it cleanses gently and does not contain harsh chemicals. People have found it effective for acne, psoriasis, eczema, and fading skin discoloration. Inspired by the effectiveness of traditional African Black Soap, Wise Owl Organics partnered with an artisan soap maker to develop a modern version of black soap containing our moisturizing East African Shea Butter and activated charcoal.
We use peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils to create a refreshing lather. Wise Owl Organics Peppermint & Eucalyptus Black Soap is made in the USA with organic ingredients. We recommend that you let the bar dry, as it tends to soften with use. This will help prolong the bar. Our single bar pack is being sold with a complimentary soap case. Also available is a 3 bar value bundle.
